Prof. Tae-Won Park leads the Climate Disaster Lab (CDL) at Chonnam National University. His research centers on understanding and projecting extreme weather under global climate change — including cold surges, heatwaves, typhoons, and climate-zone shifts — using observations, global and land-surface climate models, and process-based feedback attribution. More recent work extends to climate engineering and AI-based climate research.
